Building a national digital hub for Latino heritage and culture
The Smithsonian Latino Center sought to elevate awareness of Latino heritage and culture and create a more dynamic digital presence capable of serving as the central access point for programs, research, exhibitions, and educational resources. The existing online experience lacked the scale, accessibility, and engagement necessary to reflect the scope of the Center’s mission.
Qorvis partnered with Smithsonian Latino Center leadership to design and launch a bilingual, content-rich website serving as a premier cultural portal for Latino resources. The platform was built to function as the hub for programming, community engagement, and donor outreach, with a user experience designed to broaden reach and deepen audience interaction.
Following the launch, website traffic increased by 300%. The Center’s email database and donation levels also grew, reflecting stronger audience engagement and conversion.
The site received significant positive feedback, including coverage in leading Latino publications, and earned a SABRE Award for excellence in communications.
